FAQ

At Relievus, we have the most respected, board-certified pain specialist physicians, neurologists, and physiatrists. Your care is in the hands of not just a single pain specialist, but an entire multi-disciplinary team, with today’s most advanced technology at their fingertips.

When you arrive, our receptionists, nurse practitioners, and doctors will greet you with a supportive attitude so that your entire experience with us is as positive and comfortable as possible. With our combined skills and experience we will assure you with the most accurate diagnosis, most effective treatment, and most positive outcome possible.

We treat back pain, neck pain, head injuries, neurological disorders, and other chronic pain syndromes such as arthritis, cancer pain, sprains, nerve injuries, muscle tears, etc.

Spinal cord stimulation, also referred to as neurostimulation, uses electrical impulses to relieve chronic pain of the back and legs. The electrical impulses prevent pain signals from being received by the brain.

This treatment is ideal for candidates who suffer from neuropathic pain and for whom conservative treatments have failed them prior.

Stem cell injections and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) therapy allows for regenerative healing and pain relief through injections of plasma and adult stem cells. This treatment alleviates many conditions including knee injuries, arthritis, joint pain and inflammation, back injuries, and bodily pain.

Ketamine Infusion Therapy is used for treatment-resistant depression and CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) or RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy). Ketamine interacts with receptors and chemicals in the brain to cause (often immediate) anti-depressant effects.

ENR Therapy is a breakthrough electromedical treatment proven to effectively alleviate pain, tingling, burning and numbness resulting from neuropathy and chronic nerve conditions. It is an electrotherapy treatment similar to shock therapy, and is a very effective treatment for diabetic neuropathy and nerve pain.

The Vertiflex Superion Procedure is an innovative and minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of LSS (Lumbar Spinal Stenosis).

Once the device is placed between the vertebrae it helps open up the narrow area of your spine, relieving the pressure and pain associated with spinal stenosis.

This procedure uses an imaging machine and specialized tools to remove small pieces of bone and excess ligament tissue through a tiny incision in your back. Removing these elements restores space in the spinal canal and decreases the compression of the nerves, which reduces pain and restores mobility.

Yes! Psychological counseling is a form of talk therapy that helps people identify and develop skills to change negative thoughts and behaviors. By changing their negative thoughts and behaviors, people can change their awareness of pain and develop better coping skills, even if the actual level of pain stays the same.

Psychological counseling can help you manage the stresses in your life related to your chronic pain. There may be other life stressors that you are dealing with that also makes it harder to manage your pain symptoms. We offer psychology counseling to help you manage all of this.

Acupuncture points are believed to stimulate the central nervous system. This, in turn, releases chemicals into the muscles, spinal cord, and brain. These biochemical changes may stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities and promote physical and emotional well-being.

Inserting needles into these points with appropriate combinations is said to bring the energy flow back into proper balance. The number of treatments needed depends on the individual. A person with a chronic condition may need one to two treatments a week over several months. An acute problem normally improves after 8 to 12 sessions.

The last thing you want to hear is, “it’s all in your head.” For people with chronic pain, the discomfort is very real, and they know all too well they feel it in their bodies. Often times you will not suffer with pain for the rest of your life.

Everyone requires a different treatment, procedure, exercise to follow, or medication. Sometimes the dosage or frequency of a treatment needs to be adjusted. But once we figure out the right treatment for you, you can manage your pain!
